Gaming Excitement: Hawthorn
I’ve always wanted to throw things other than books on this site, because as a lot of you don’t know (but should), I’m an gamer! I stumbled across this game on accident the other day and I squealed so loud! JUST LOOK AT IT!
So this game is called Hawthorn, and it’s basically a cute little cozy woodland RPG where you build a village and explore your surrounding. I cannot wait to exist in this world, it is going to be magical and full of animals. As per the Steam page, it is going to be single player OR multiplayer through online co-op!
One of the reasons I am so excited by this book it is just screams Redwall to me! The anthropomorphic animals, the season of community, the promise of village life and adventure as an animal just feels like I am going to open up the game and be treated to something as amazing as my Redwall experience as a kid. For those who don’t know: Redwall is a fantasy book series penne by Brain Jacques. It’s an amazing medieval fantasy adventure, but with woodland animals instead of humans. It feels like I am going to open up this game and it’s going to be the equivalent to opening up another Redwall book, but this time getting to step inside and live in it!
This game is not out yet, I know tragic, but I am already emotionally invested and stalking their website and the Steam page for updates.
If you love cozy games, found family vibes, Redwall, adventure, and good games – this is one you should probably keep an eye on. It’s already living rent free in my mind. It was added to my wish list the moment I found out about it and I recommend jumping on Steam and adding it to your wish list as well!
